Erica Smithberger earned her Doctorate of Medicine (MD) from the University of South Florida in 2005, where she subsequently completed residency training in Dermatology & Cutaneous Surgery, serving as chief clinical resident. She completed her board-certification exam and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology & a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Smithberger received her Bachelor of Arts summa cum laude from the USF Honors Program, with a major in Psychology and a minor in Spanish.
A native of Tampa, Dr. Smithberger is pleased to serve in Plant City at Clayton Dermatology Group. She sees patients of all ages needing medical, surgical, or cosmetic dermatology services.
Dr Smithberger is married to her high-school sweetheart and they have two children. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family & friends.
